Did anybody else notice that not one, not two, but three major network television shows had storylines regarding religion this week?... Right after LDS General Conference?
- Modern Family's Jay and Gloria fought about Jay not wanting to go to church and what that meant for their son.
- On Community, Pierce's mom died and turned into a lava lamp (basically...). Jeff (and his mother speaking from the grave) tries to convince him otherwise.
- And finally the Glee episode featuring an appearance of The Christ to Finn via cheese sandwich. My commentary on that one here.

It's interesting. Episodes are written and recorded months in advance, and I'm sure the schedule has been set for a long time. It would be easy to set it up to immediately follow conference weekend.
I do watch Modern Family...bt I hav yet to see this week's show....i'm downloading it right now...will post after seeing it! :p
I was thinking the same thing. Religion, acceptance, love, and how they may or may not go together were completely all over the tv waves.
@Carla: All of this is true, but I'm certain it was genuine coincidence, esp. as three different networks are involved.
@Phunk Factor: Not the best episode, but still interesting.
@Stella: I do wonder about the "why" despite this less than serious post. Perhaps the wake of the Prop 8 debate or the treatment of Islam?
